John Cunningham and
Frank Christy invite you to participate in our soccer camp program for 2008. For 32 years, our
camps were conducted at Bethany College, but for this summer the camps are returning
to Wheeling Jesuit University where Jim Regan, Bethany Alumnus and longtime NCAA Division II coach,
has developed competitive soccer programs. In fact, the responses from coaches, campers, and parents who participated
in 2007 were positive with special recognition to convenence of travel, excellent soccer facilities,
modern residence halls, Parkhurst Dining, and the quality of coaching.
Bethany Soccer Camps were founded
and operated by John Cunningham and Frank Christy since 1974. The camps provide instruction and team development
opportunities to players from 8-18 in an invironment that emphasizes skill improvement, team tactics, sportsmanship, positional
play, conditioning with ball, and communication skills. Training sessions include: systems of play in attack an defense,
set plays, man-to-man and zone defending, and attacking strategies. Instruction and soccer activities are appropriate
to age, skill level and game awareness
